Am kommenden Donnerstag, 22. November, um 17 Uhr deutscher Zeit, schlägt „Stuttgarts schönster Sport“ erstmals in der Gruppenphase der CEV Volleyball Champions League 2019 auf. In der Gruppe A befinden sich unter anderem der französische Meister Beziers VB sowie der bulgarische Champion Maritza Plovdiv.
Das Heimspiel in der 1. Volleyball-Bundesliga gegen NawaRo Straubing muss wegen dem fast zeitgleichen Auftritt von "Stuttgarts schönstem Sport" in der Champions League ebenfalls verlegt werden. Neuer Termin ist Mittwoch, 5. Dezember 2018, 19.00 Uhr in der SCHARRena Stuttgart.
In der Gruppenphase der CEV Volleyball Champions League haben wir drei Heim- und drei Auswärtsspiele. Unser erster Auftritt ist gleich ganz großes Kino: Wir sind in der Türkei zu Gast bei keinem geringeren als dem Weltklasse-Club und amtierenden CL-Sieger 2018 Vakifbank Istanbul.
Das erste Heimspiel in der SCHARRena findet am Mittwoch, 19.12.2018 um 19.00 Uhr gegen den französischen Meister Beziers VB statt. Tickets für unsere Spiele in der CL gibt es vsl. ab Mitte nächster Woche.
Wir haben es gemeinsam geschafft! Mit einem überragenden Auftritt gegen Alba Blaj konnten wir uns für die Gruppenphase der CEV Volleyball Champions League qualifizieren. "Stuttgarts schönster Sport" gehört somit zu den Top 20 Clubs in Europa.
Unsere nächste Reise führt an den Bosporus! Zum Champions League Gewinner 2018 VakifBank Istanbul. Es wird ein einmaliges Erlebnis! Ihr könnt dabei sein! Luxembourg, November 13, 2018. Germany’s Allianz MTV STUTTGART made it to the pool stage of the 2019 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Women, winning four sets in a row in the return leg at home against last season’s silver medallists of CSM Volei Alba BLAJ. The German side had lost the first match in Romania by 1-3, but managed to recover with an emphatic straight-setter at home, followed by an emphatic Golden Set win, to triumph victorious on Tuesday evening. It was just as thrilling over in France, where Poland’s Budowlani ŁÓDŹ had to come back from a set down twice before overcoming the tough resistance of ASPTT MULHOUSE VB and booking their ticket to the next round. Alba and ASPTT MULHOUSE step down to the next tier in the European Cups to continue playing in the 2019 CEV Volleyball Cup - Women.

CSM Volei Alba BLAJ and Budowlani ŁÓDŹ will be trying to capitalise on the 3-1 wins they claimed last week whilst Allianz MTV STUTTGART and ASPTT MULHOUSE VB are hoping to use the home-court advantage to stay alive in the competition and vie for an all-important Golden Set. „Whoomp – There it is“! Stuttgarts Hallensprecher Frank Schumacher gelingt immer wieder erneut der Griff zum richtigen Song. Im Tiebreak donnerten die blau-gelben Bällen den Gästen aus Wiesbaden nur so um die Ohren. Über Zwischenstände von 2:0, 9:3, und 13:5, ließ das Team von Allianz MTV Stuttgart keinen Zweifel, wer an diesem Abend vor 1.754 Zuschauern als Sieger vom Feld gehen will. Zu schön ist es doch, mit und vor seinen eigenen Fans zu feiern. Doch dieser Weg dorthin, in diesen eindeutig verlaufenden Entscheidungssatz war kein leichter, dieser Weg war steinig und schwer – bis am Ende der 3:2-Sieg (26:24, 21:25, 23:25, 25:20. 15:7) an der Anzeigetafel der SCHARRena prangte.
Saisonstart in der 1. Volleyball-Bundesliga für Allianz MTV Stuttgart am Samstag. Im November trifft "Stuttgarts schönster Sport" zweimal auf den VC Wiesbaden. Am kommenden Samstag in der 1. Bundesliga und am 24. November 2018 zum DVV-Pokal Viertelfinale. Beide Male live in der SCHARRena. Chance auf den Golden Set in der Champions League, daheim im Rückspiel am Dienstag gegen Alba Blaj.

Luxembourg, November 7, 2018. The finalists of last year's CEV Volleyball Champions League - Women, CSM Volei Alba BLAJ are off to a great start of the third round against Allianz MTV STUTTGART. The Romanian team only dropped the third set after feeling perhaps too relaxed from winning the first two. In a hard-fought battle in the fourth they just edged in front. Budowlani ŁÓDŹ also won in four sets, but they had to fight off ASPTT MULHOUSE VB in the 'Match of the Week' opening two sets as they went into overtime. The French won the third, only to see the Polish team running away with the fourth.
